This is just outside our house... a lovely winter wonderland.

A lot of stuff is happening around me... sometimes it's hard to keep up. Reconnecting with things from my past is often not easy, but I decided to take on the challenge to finally be able to release, let go and start to heal.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I haven't picked a word for 2021 yet, but I think "RELEASE" might be a great candidate. And today is also New Moon, so it's a great time to let go of old energies and set new intentions to manifest during the new moon cycle.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Obviously, I am super keen on new beginnings at the moment. But since I am someone who - more often than I like to admit - tends to get super hung-up on things that happened in the past, I really love these gentle reminders. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Isn't it funny how the mind tends to be hung up on the things that didn't went well? And forgetting all the good things that happened too? I really try to make it a habit to focus on the good memories instead on the bad ones, but it's not always easy.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I always feel so drawn to the moon... you too? Now i am not a super big believer in Astrology, but my sign is Cancer, and it's supposed to be a moon sign, so maybe that is why.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I live in the countryside at the edge of some forests, and when it's clear outside, you have always a good chance to see the moon through its various phases. I could just sit and look at it, this mysterious companion of earth for so many eons.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I love the night. I enjoy the quiet in the house and outside, and there is always something very special that happens to my creativity normally around 2 am. So I am a total night owl. If I could, I would love to be up all night, go to bed at dawn and sleep through the day.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Unfortunately, this lifestyle isn't a fit for my family life at all, so i have to be very careful about my nightly routines. I need to log off and disconnect at a certain point in the evening (ideally around 10 pm), otherwise my brain kicks into overnight mode and just won't let me rest trough the night.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This results in little sleep and me being very grumpy and not very productive as I struggle through the next day.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I want to use the new year also to be a bit more mindful about my evenings, and trying to instill better routines for me to find it easier to fall asleep.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Fresh start, fresh week, new year.... aaaahhh! The

Fresh start, fresh week, new year.... aaaahhh! There is always something absolutely magical and at the same something absolutely terrifying thinking about a new year. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
All the possibilities, but also all the pressure!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But I am grateful that I get another chance at a new year. 2020 has been difficult in many ways - mainly because i started to question everything I do once AGAIN. There is this thing I am having with self-worth and I tend to... not being very kind to myself then.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Which is kind of ironic, because for those around me, I tend to be the biggest cheerleader!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As I progress into this new year, i really want to let go of that old "mean" me and invite a more loving and nourishing presence into my life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

After all, if you're not kind to yourself, how the hell you can be kind with anybody else? And our world needs more kindness now than ever before.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

2020 was for sure challenging for me. I struggled a lot with my self-worth, due to not being able to go to any events to sell on. What does one have to do with the other?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Let me explain a bit: Normally, i can't interact with a lot of you. I try my best to be present on social media, but with the organic reach being what it is, sometimes this feels like I am standing in a huge forest, shouting and hoping that anybody of you will hear me.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So I normally get little to none feedback to what I post, and this can sometimes be disheartening. At an event, however, I see lovely people face to face, can tell them about my wonderlust oddidities, my story an anything else in between. It is such a natural thing to do and in an environment I really enjoy with my booth being the perfect backdrop.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So every time I come back from an event, my heart is filled to the brim with excitement and gratitude, which then directly fuel into my creativity.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And with no events happening this year, I started to realize what an enormous impact this has on my whole process. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I am still trying to figure out the way I want things to go. And I hope I will be able to have everything in place to follow along this time next year.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
