19 years ago I married the love of my life? Sounds kitschy? Kind of. But it wasn't a big white fairytale wedding you might think of -in fact, we were in such dire financial circumstances that we couldn't even afford a pair of wedding rings let alone a big lavish ceremony.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Did it matter? Not really. Of course I was sad that we couldn't do the whole shebang with a ceremony, white dress, a lavish celebration and the honeymoon.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But in exchange I got to marry the best man that I ever met. I am so grateful we took the plunge, and I don't regret a thing. I would do it all over again.

But I'm not mad about the fresh, mild air outside and the warm sunbeams that gently tickle my nose. I feel like I've been hibernating for a long time and are finally reborn.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I'm BAAACK! Did you miss me?

I know it has been a long time, no see situation, but it was not you, it was definitely me. I've been a little active on stories and all that, but to be honest, I was tiered of the hamster wheel of posting all the time.

I probably ruined my tiny reach with that, but to be honest... I'm kind of over it. I'm no longer in the mood of worshipping an obscure AI for the sake of a few more likes. It just takes all the fun out of it.

However, I have been focusing on something very important in the last few weeks: me. Mainly my physical and mental health. I've been finally able to work through my mental health issues with the help of an amazing medical team and I am also on track with losing weight and living healthier again. I don't want to share too much - I might in my stories - as it's a very private and personal topic for me and I still don't know if I have the courage to talk about it.

However, I'm in the best mental state I've been for years! I finally can live again, breathe again, enjoy things, have more strength to cope with stressful situations, and I am so utterly thankful for it. For a long time, I had the feeling that I was crawling through a deep and dark tunnel underground and was afraid all the time it would cave in. Now I have not only reached the end of the tunnel but I can walk on the surface again and see the sky. And it is beautiful...

I also lost almost 9 kg since the beginning of the year and have overcome my urges to fight stress or mental challenges with food. I still have a long way ahead, but I'm on the right path and for now I am able to keep going.

I hope to connect with all of you again soon. In the meantime, take care, stay safe & sane.

A lot of stuff is happening around me... sometimes it's hard to keep up. Reconnecting with things from my past is often not easy, but I decided to take on the challenge to finally be able to release, let go and start to heal.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I haven't picked a word for 2021 yet, but I think "RELEASE" might be a great candidate. And today is also New Moon, so it's a great time to let go of old energies and set new intentions to manifest during the new moon cycle.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Obviously, I am super keen on new beginnings at the moment. But since I am someone who - more often than I like to admit - tends to get super hung-up on things that happened in the past, I really love these gentle reminders. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I always feel so drawn to the moon... you too? Now i am not a super big believer in Astrology, but my sign is Cancer, and it's supposed to be a moon sign, so maybe that is why.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I live in the countryside at the edge of some forests, and when it's clear outside, you have always a good chance to see the moon through its various phases. I could just sit and look at it, this mysterious companion of earth for so many eons.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I love the night. I enjoy the quiet in the house and outside, and there is always something very special that happens to my creativity normally around 2 am. So I am a total night owl. If I could, I would love to be up all night, go to bed at dawn and sleep through the day.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Unfortunately, this lifestyle isn't a fit for my family life at all, so i have to be very careful about my nightly routines. I need to log off and disconnect at a certain point in the evening (ideally around 10 pm), otherwise my brain kicks into overnight mode and just won't let me rest trough the night.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This results in little sleep and me being very grumpy and not very productive as I struggle through the next day.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I want to use the new year also to be a bit more mindful about my evenings, and trying to instill better routines for me to find it easier to fall asleep.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
