I hope you are all ok. I'm still trying to navigate what's left of 2020 in the best way possible for me - and this also meant taking up some time away from social media.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I feel now it's more important than ever to be kind to yourself. And that doesn't always have to mean spa days or luxurious bubble baths.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sometimes it can be as simple as just taking a few minutes to breathe, to take a short walk outside or to fuel your body with something that is good for you - and I absolutely don't judge if it's an apple or a piece of chocolate.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I for myself have realized that movement is an important part of my mental well-being.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I want to show you another close-up of my "Luna Argentea" spelljar. I really love how the lid on this one turned out with all the stars and sparkles.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The spelljar has a glass core inside, so you can store anything in there - even liquids. You can even clean them out with warm water and a drop of dish-soap. However, these are not dishwasher-safe.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Sometimes I am afraid. Especially afraid about being judged. Isn’t this funny? I mean I’m a grown woman in her 40ies, i shouldn’t give a fuck about what anyone is thinking and just living my life to the max, right?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Right. Sounds so easy. But sometimes, it’s really hard. There are times that I am afraid to tell people what I’m doing, because I’m only a stay-at-home mom with a lot of crafty hobbies, doing things that anybody else could do.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I admit that I get hurt by things like “Oh you are just a stay-at-home mom” or “So you sit at home all day and do nothing.” And no, I am not making those up. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We as women just can’t win. If we stay at home, we are lazy hagsleeching off our partners / providers. If we go to work, we are heartless robots who don’t want to take care of their kids. And don’t get me started on the shit women who don’t have kids (for various reasons which are ALL valid) have to hear. About how they are selfish or not real women unless they experience the awesomeness of motherhood (yes, it can be awesome, but also pretty exhausting).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Showing up for me here is not just telling everyone how amazing I am (although sometimes I wish I could do just that). But I try to be authentic, fearless and showing up for the things that set my soul on fire - even if I’m “just an artist”.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
